Poor Katie Waissel hasn’t had an easy time of late. She’s appeared in the bottom two four weeks in a row, and following last night’s shock exit of Aiden Grimshaw, life only seems to be getting worse for the singer.
This morning’s top news was not just about what happened last night, but also that Katie has broken X-Factor rules with her vocals featuring on US musician David Reed’s new album. X Factor rules dictate that contestants are not allowed to hold a record contract while the show is on.
And it’s not the first time Katie has been found to have broken the rules – before the live shows it was revealed that she had a US record deal, which Simon Cowell and his lawyers made sure she got out of so she could carry on in the show.
However, we doubt this will lead to her disqualification. Simon seems to have a soft spot for the star, telling sources over the weekend that she reminded him of some of his ex girlfriends. He also rooted for the star last night, voting out Aiden who was a favourite with the other judges. As the pictures below show Aiden was much more composed than Katie who grabbed his hand and embraced him a number of times. She also held her head in her hands for the results, channelling her drama queen reputation. We can only wait to see what happens next week…
